We had a small part to play in the presentation of the Mitchell River Watershed management Group’s Forum and AGM held at the Mount Carbine on Saturday. There were presenters from David Kempton, (Member for Cook), EQ Resources Limited, Mareeba Shire, Cape York NRM Gulf Savannah, Biosecurity Queensland, Cape York Weeds and Feral Animals Incorporated, as well as community members and Traditional Owners. Our Mitchell River Facilitator kept things on track and even tempered despite the passion of our people in the shed. Very lively discussions were held on everything that is occurring the Mitchell River Watershed System. A new committee was elected by the members and sworn in at the AGM. See photos below
