October News - Brief
We have had a lively October as mango madness starts in our part of the country.
Have managed to attract two Innovation Technology providers to present at our field day in December.
As a Director for the Mitchell River Watershed Management Group, I attended their Annual General meeting and forum held in Mt Carbine, last Friday.
As a part of being willing to start a new co-operative working arrangement with Cape York Natural Resource Management, we attended a training session on Land Condition Assessment for properties with members of Cape York NRM. The Department of Agriculture’s Representatives provided the training for two days.
Attended the Cape York NRM Annual General Meeting, held in Cooktown. They have promised us a new era in working with and collaborating with our Bama mob. Hopefully we get to have real resources on the ground in Cape York.
Kept working with Bob Cobavie from Outsource Management for real solutions for our mob. It is a long process.
Continued our work with the Australian Rural leadership Foundation, include with our mentees.
Were approached by Cape York Natural resources Management about possible collaboration with them on future projects.
Kept progressing with our Agrifutures project with several Innovation providers including Trav from TRAVEARTH DRONE Technology, Lyro Robotics, Brian Ruddle, Laconik Systems, to name a few. We will present some of the latest field innovation and field technology that is available to our Cape York Producers. Because we are largely ignored up here in Cape York, we are preparing to have our field day on Saturday the 9th of December. All details to follow as soon as we have locked in our presenters.
