CY446 Agriculture Community of Practice and Engagement Project for our Southern Cape York Producers

We had a big week last week, visiting our producers from the Annan, Endeavour and Normanby Catchments. Geoff from Cape York NRM and Dhiraj from the TNQ Drought Hub assisted in kicking off the project . We collected soil samples from producers from all three catchments which has indigenous and non indigenous producers. The samples collected will be analysed and the results collated and a plan to move forward to help these soils produce better for our food security will be developed with each producer. A Peer 2 Peer sharing day will be held in July to share all of these results and to move ahead with real change in our community of Practices. This will help our Cape York food security and more IMPORTANTLY reduce our environmental impact. See photo gallery from our very special country.
